Technology in the study of light (Lenses)
Introduction
These particular and artificial optical components as the lenses besides being of great utility for the previous complex optical systems have been of great help for the focus or the due refraction of the luminous rays transporting the images towards our retina, and with it we can express that during its scientific development the optics has great concern towards the understanding of the human eye.
In relation to the previously expressed we can say in a general way that our eyes constitute a very complex natural optical system of enough precision when the same one is in normal operation, in this natural optical system we are with the cornea and this element is considered like the main lens of our eyes because the same one is the responsible for generating the greater refraction or doubling of the light when entering our ocular globe.
Of the previous action we can emphasize the presence of another type of natural lens denominated particularly internal lens, in this internal lens the small ciliary muscles act and these are the responsible ones for making that the light that transports the images can arrive at our receiving natural screen as it is it the retina.
The above mentioned links us to the great utility that artificial lenses have with our eyes, since due to the projection of images on our retina is that our visual problems are produced because this projection of images can occur in front of or behind our retina, and this action makes us see blurry images despite the effort of our small ciliary muscles to try to focus the image on the retina.
The previous action causes that many people present deficiencies in their natural optical systems (eyes) and that through different types of lenses it has been possible to correct such failure of the projection of the images that we observe around us, generally the material of the artificial lenses is glass or crystal and limited by a pair of surface, universally can be expressed that the lenses are of two types according to their treatment with the luminous rays, between which we have convergent and divergent lenses, next in figure 1 we will observe to these types of lenses:
With the previous lenses is that they have conformed any type of complex optical system for any activity of the man including clear it, the correction of the projections of the images if it is necessary coming from our surroundings towards our retina, and the same pertaining to our essential natural optical system (eyes).
Conclusion
As we have done so far, we must continue to emphasize the extraordinary link between technology and science, because as we have shown that through science we have managed to understand the world around us, therefore, all those phenomena that develop in our environment, where, no doubt we find the wonderful phenomenon of light.
The technologies have allowed us the elaboration of new materials for the generation of new lenses with greater capacity of treatment of the luminous rays either captured by complex artificial optical systems like our essential natural optical system as they are our eyes, and this way ratifying the great utility of the great technological advances through our history of the hand with the science.
Until another opportunity my dear and appreciated readers.
