The dangers of modern passive sectarianism Source


Sectarianism is perhaps one of the first evils of humanity and, together with indolence, one of the most dangerous.

Since the appearance of man on earth, this deviation of the communal phenomenon has been the most dangerous of all, since the bifurcation of its motives places it in most of the times in a tacit confrontation against the established and in a position of exacerbated egolatries that end up being black spots within the pigmentary conformation of society, since the means they use to obtain their ends almost always threaten and fragment the bases of creation of the groups.

As with any social phenomenon, the reasons for these detachments are diverse, the most dangerous being religious and racial, which throughout history have created deep wounds in the feelings and humanities of their opponents and have reached unsuspected limits within the generational continuation and proliferation that drive them, becoming as old as humanity itself.

For reasons of understanding, comprehension and to a certain extent of necessity, man has been characterized by the creation of small nuclei that share similar ideas or pursue identical goals at different levels. This is the reason for the birth of associations, sports clubs, economic and mercantile societies, cooperatives and innumerable designations given to these human symbiosis, which if we analyze more closely are a form of sectarianism but taken in a positive way as an infallible method of globalization and coexistence.

But not all march in that direction and pursue the same altruistic or philanthropic ends, but a great majority deviate to personal and excluding ends and base social behavior on those norms that are necessarily represented according to the type of action they perform, being normal and even wild the conformation of useful fools with ideas as disproportionate and beliefs as egomaniacal and superficial as the capacity of their brains to add two equal numbers.

It is these passive and sometimes less dangerous sectarians who have been benefiting the most from the magic of technology and globalized communications, since this has been the reason for internal bifurcations within their own nuclei and the informational dependence that produces accessibility to the topics that interest them.

With these tendencies, modernity has created a new group of sectarians to whom I am going to add the suffix of Pseudos, who live with the personal affirmation of being as qualified as anyone else and have the unconditional idea of thinking that they are the center of attention of the world around them because they are perfect.

Thus we have that the XXI century has received with concern the pseudo-trained who only need to have superficial knowledge of something to be all experts and criticize those who do not agree with their statements, almost always wrong or out of valid reasons but above all carried with the irresponsibility of the deviation that exerts the perfectionist self-conviction that goes against reality itself.

The magic of the Internet has helped to create these pseudo-professionals that swarm everywhere and at all hours, creating an unnecessary confrontation that only has a place within the framework of the virtuality to which they belong.

But the worrying thing is that this passive sectarianism is gradually gaining followers in different fields and is seen as a worse threat than the religious and racial sects themselves in the future, since they are the antithesis of effort and knowledge.

It is now a daily occurrence to see in the international news the disasters and deaths caused by pseudo-medics or pseudo-engineers, it is also common to read in newspapers and magazines the barbarities written by these gentlemen with fancy words to which they are giving new meanings and inventing new forms of modernity without the slightest respect for the reasons given by the true cultivators of any genre.

It is alarming to turn on the television to learn of the progress of these movements and even more so to imagine that the knowledge acquired through effort and work during a lifetime or that the innate abilities that circumstances provide us with are just existential garbage in a world that at times is lurching towards unknown seas.

We should begin to go deeper into all this and analyze very well to what extent sectarianism can encompass the true bases of the community and to what extent it can be considered active or passive, belligerent or constructive, so that we do not have to look at the future with a penguin face in the middle of the tropics.
